How to Survive an Active Shooter Event

Keeping our Georgetown campus safe from active shooter/active aggressor incidents is a top priority, and the university takes a team approach. These groups include the Georgetown University Police Department (GUPD), the Threat Assessment Team and the Office of Emergency Management (OEM).

Request a “Run, Hide, Fight” Training

To request a group training for your department or organization, offered via Zoom or in person, please complete one of the below forms:

FBI Run-Hide-Fight Video — Provides the basic response actions to an active shooter incident embedded in an engaging active shooter scenario.

Intruder Deterrent Locks are in place on many of our general-purpose classroom doors, and we are in the process of adding more.
